(Reading) Marks : 20 1)
Read the passage given below and answer the questions that follow :
Water is one of the most important natural resource . With the rising population there has been an increasing pressure on the earth’s resources. Scarcity of waste has been felt throughout the country. Efforts have been made to collect water by building dams. Wells have also been dug to create ground water structure. But this is not enough.

Wise conservation of water is needed^ One of the most popular ways of conservation is rain water harvesting. It means collecting rain water on the roofs of buildings and storing it underground for later use. This method can raise the level of ground waste* and also increase water supply. Another method is waste water harvesting. Water from kitchens and bathrooms is collected and cleaned. It can then be used for purposes other than drinking.
