(c) State the reasons of the establishment of Indian Education Commission (1882-83) and describe its field of work.
(d) Describe the important recommendations of National Education Commission (1964-66).
(e) Explain the concept of ‘Distance Education’ and its importance in India.

2. (a) Compare the Vedic Education System with Buddhist Education System. (8)
(b) Describe the problems and the remedies of Modern Educational Pattern with reference to Gujarat State. (8)

(a) State the objectives and characteristics of Medieval Education Period. (8)
(b) Give the reason of the establishment of Sedlar Commission. Describe the recommendations done by the Commission for Indian Universities. (8)

3. Answer any four of the following questions in about 200 words each. (20)
(a) Describe the limitations of Medieval Education System.
(b) Describe the recommendations of University Education Commission (1948-49) for the vocational education.

(c) ‘Macaulay is a pioneer of Modern Indian Educational System’. Give your views with reference to the statement.
(d) Describe the characteristics and limitations of Distance Education.
(e) Explain the recommendations for education suggested by Michael Adams. What would be the present situation of India, if those recommendations would have been accepted ? Give your views.
(f) ‘Three language formula has proved its importance to give solution for debating issue of language.’ Explain the statement.

(d) Explain briefly the ritual of Upsampada Sanskar and the rules they have to follow.
(e) Write four suggestions given by University Education Commission for character and personality development of the students.
(f) Discuss about the hurdles of New National Education Policy – 1986.
(g) Give four probable merits of New Education Policy suggested by the Gujarat State from 2004.
(h) Explain the objectives of Distance Education.

(a) Discuss the characteristics and organisations of Education Vedic Education in India.
(b) Discuss the recommendations of Calcutta University Commission.
(c) Discuss the recommendations of Wood’s Dispatch.
(d) Discuss the recommendations of Hunter Commission for Higher Education, Grant-in-Aid system, Education Department and Women Education.
(e) Mention the necessity of equal opportunity. Discuss its obstacles.

2 (a) Discuss the recommendations of Radhakrishan Commission, 1948 for the standard of Education and Vocational Education. 8
