1. Write a short essay on the origin and development of Muslim Law referring to the rise and
evolution of the Sunni and Shia schools.
2. What marriages are prohibited by the Muslim Law What are the consequences of marriages which are performed within prohibited degrees Whether the following marriages are valid :
(i) A Muslim marries two sisters together.
(ii) A Muslim girl marries with a Hindu boy.
(iii) A Muslim marries B but without consummation of marriage divorced her and marriesto B’s daughter.
3. Discuss the nature and importance of dower in a Muslim marriage. How does non-payment of prompt dower affect the husband’s claim to restitution of conjugal rights
4. What do you mean by Talaq What is Talaq-i-Tafweez- Discuss the legal effects of divorce
under Muslim Law.
5. Discuss in detail Hiba of Musha under Muslim Law. Whether a gift once made can be revoked
6. State the legal devices for evading right of pre-emption. What are the formalities for claiming
right of pre-emption
7. Who can make Wakf- What is Wakf-ul-aulad- What can be the valid objects of a Wakf-
8. Explain the doctrine of ‘Aul’ and ‘Radd’ according to Sunni Law. Give two illustrations of each.
9. State the facts, issues involved, decision and principles of law laid down in Amjad Khan vs. Ashraf Khan 56 l.A. 218.
10. Write short notes on any two of the following
(i) Abatement of Legacy.(ii) Khilwat-us-Sahih.(iii) Marz-uI-Maut.
