SET – I

1. Write down one essay on flood & drought.
2. Describe the mining and industrialization of metallic, non-metallic and energy resources of India.
3. Write down your opinion on winter, summer and rainy seasons of India.

4. What do you mean by industrialization? There are how many levels of it and what are its contribution in socio-economic sphere of India?
5. Explain the evergreen, deciduous, thorny bushes, mountainous and mangrove forests of India.

6. Write down one essay collective on hydroelectricity, thermal electricity, atomic electricity and solar electricity.
7. Whether India’s population is boon or curse for India. Opine yourself.

8. Mineral based, agro based, chemical based and automobiles industries are friends of Indian economy. Justify it.
9. Related with population write down short notes on – Birth rate, Death rate and Annual growth rate.
10. Different transportation systems like – road, rail, pipeline, navigation and aviation etc. have affected the human life today largely. Give your opinion.

SET – II

1. Explain in detail the size and location of India and write down the names of its neighbouring countries.
2. Write down essay on all the resources of India.

3. The latitudinal and longitudinal position of India is approximately 80 – 380 N and 680 – 980 E. Make one self-sketch of India and display it.
4. Describe the alluvial soil, black soil and desert soil of India along with, give your opinion on soil erosion and soil conservation.

5. How can the 6500 K.M long ocean coastline of India be used for human’s profit?
6. Describe those human activities which are the causes of devastation of flora and fauna.
7. Describe six major physiographic divisions of India.

8. Describe the evergreen & deciduous forests of India and also discuss its condition and its security.
9. Human is ultimate resource, how? Discuss it.
10. India faced flood every year. Even though water lacks here for agriculture and drinking water for human, why? Give reasons.

1. Make one sketch of India and display the flowing directions of rivers Ganga, Goavari, Narmada & Tapi. [8+8= 16]
2. Write down two short notes on multipurpose dam and rain water harvesting. [4+4+4+4= 16]
3. There is great contribution of Indian rivers in Indian civilization, religion, fooding and economy. Describe in detail. [16]

4. Which types of agricultural practices are done in India? And what are its contribution in Indian society, religion and economy? Write down your opinion. [16]
5. Explain the causes of pollution of Indian rivers. [16]
6. Write down short notes on three agricultural seasons of India e.g. Rabi, Kharif and Zaid. [16]
7. Make one sketch of solar system and display all the planets in sight series. [4+4+4+4= 16]

8. Make one hand sketch of India and display the Himalaya, northern plain and peninsular plateau over there. [16]
9. Make one sketch of hydrological cycle and explain it throughly. [8+8= 16]
10. Differentiate between food crops and cash crops. And write down the names of four crops each. [8+8= 16]

1. The central location of India at the head of the Indian ocean is considered of great significance. Why? [16]
2. Which are the major physiographic divisions of India? Contrast the relief of the Himalayan region with that of the peninsular plateau. [16]
3. Discuss the significant difference between the Himalayan and peninsular rivers. [16]

4. Why are rivers important for the country’s economy? [16]
5. Why does the rainfall decrease from the east to the west in northern India? [16]
6. Give the characteristics and effects of the monsoon rainfall in India. [16]
7. Describe the regional variations in the climate conditions of India with the help of suitable examples.[16]

8. Name different types of vegetation found in India and describe the vegetation of high altitudes..[16]
9. Define an Ecosystem? What factors are responsible for the distribution of plants and animals in India?..[16]
10. Distinguish between population growth and population change?..[16]
