GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO THE EXAMINEES :
1. Candidate must write first his / her Roll No. on the question paper compulsorily.
2. All the questions are compulsory.

3. Write the answer to each question in the given answer-book only.
4. For questions having more than one part carrying similar marks, the answers of those parts are to be written together in continuity.
5. Write on both sides of the pages of your answer-book. If any rough work is to be done, do it on last pages of the answer-book and cross with slant lines and write ‘Rough Work’ on them.

6. There are internal choices in Question Nos. 23 and 25. Question Nos. 2 to 7 are Very Short Answer type.
7. There are four parts ( i, ii, iii, iv ) in Question No. 1. Each part has four alternatives A, B, C and D.

8. Write on both sides of the pages of your answer-book. If any rough work is to be done, do it on last pages of the answer-book and cross with slant lines and write ‘Rough Work’ on them. 9.
9. Draw the graph of Question No. 26 on graph paper.

3. The perimeter of a rectangle is 40 cm. The ratio of its sides is 2 : 3. Find the length and breadth of the rectangle. 1

5. Find the quadratic equation whose roots are 2 + 5 and 2 – 5 . 1
6. Find median of the following distribution : 2, 3, 4, 7, 5, 1. 1
7. Find out the square of 39 by the favourite number method. 1
8. Solve the equation ( x + 1 ) ( x + 2 ) = ( x – 3 ) ( x – 4 ) by the Sutra An article can be purchased on a cash payment or a cash down payment of Rs. 190 and 6 equal monthly instalments of Rs. 60 each.

9. Write the name of the triangle, in which the orthocentre, the incentre and the circumcentre are the same. 1
10. Write the name of area enclosed by any two radii and arc determined by the end points of the radii.
11. In an equilateral triangle ABC, AD is perpendicular to BC, then find AB 2 : AD 2 .
12. Find the value of 3 sin 60° – 4 sin 3 60°.

13. If sum of the squares of the sides of a rhombus is 64 sq.cm, then find the sum of squares of its diagonals. 1
14. Two circles of radii 5 cm intersect each other at A and B. If the common chord AB = 6 cm, then find the distance between their centres.
15. The sum of length, breadth and height of a cuboid is 19 cm and the length of its diagonal is 11 cm. Find the total surface area of the cuboid.
16. In a triangle ABC, AD is the bisector of ? A . DE and DF are perpendiculars on AB and AC respectively. Prove that DE = DF. 2
17. In figure, PQRS is a rectangle. The side PQ = 10 cm and QR = 7 cm. As shown in figure circles of same radius are drawn at each vertex of the rectangle. Find the area of shaded portion.

18. Construct a triangle ABC, in which BC = 5·8 cm, ? A = 65° and altitude AD = 3·1 cm. 3

Construct a triangle ABC, when BC = 4·8 cm, ? A = 70° and the median from A is 3·2 cm.
