4. Write an essay on the state of India’s Jails today.

5. Discuss whether probation can be an alternative to reform the offender under Indian Criminal Justice System.
6. The best approach to crime is prevention and prevention is maximized by establishing written legal codes. Explain this notion in the light of preventive theory of punishment.

7. Discuss Pre-sentence hearing and plea-bargaining.
8. Compare corrective labour with rigorous imprisonment in India and find out which is better suited in Indian context and why ?.

9. Write short notes on (any two) :

(b) Classification of Prisoners
